How DJI inspire 2 drone quadcopter with x5s camera and gimbal differs from its predecessor

For many Dji fans, the upgrade of Inspire 1 to DJI inspire 2 drone quadcopter with x5s camera and gimbal was a surprise. Still, Dji considered that there is always room for improvement and came up with some enhancements that made the flight experience even more pleasurable. Check out the upgrades listed below to get a better understanding of the new DJI drone release.

1. Getting more load onboard

The previous version had a powerful engine that developed a high speed and couldn't trigger complaining from users. However, Dji decided to boost the power of the new drone, making it even more agile and able to carry a bigger load onboard. Once the aircraft accepted more weight, it was reasonable to place a bigger battery that would keep the drone more time in the air. This is what DJI did, by enlarging the battery compartment and adding two TB50 batteries that provided a flight time of 27 minutes, instead of 18 minutes that Inspire 1 allowed.

2. Flying faster

A more powerful engine triggers a higher speed. Inspire 2 allows for a maximum speed of 108kmh (67mph). The acceleration is also fantastic with the drone reaching 80kmh in just 5 seconds. Having a faster drone helps you get to a remote filming spot faster and perform emergency shootings that are bound to deadlines. It also allows you to make the aircraft return home faster and land immediately in case of a sudden weather change, such as a fast-approaching storm.

3. Single-pilot camera control

While being a complex drone, Inspire requires two people to control it: the aircraft pilot and the camera operator. There is a need for a camera operator because the drone is equipped with two cameras, rather than one, which is typical of traditional drones. Inspire 2 though, allows for a united control station, where a single person can drive and control the shooting process simultaneously. It is possible thanks to the dual-frequency transmission that streams video from the integrated fpv camera and the additional camera concomitantly, making the shooting easier for the pilot.

4. Higher-quality image

Any new Dji release comes with a camera upgrade. This time, Dji equipped Inspire 2 with a Zenmuse x5s camera that shoots 5.2k videos which are clearer, brighter and more detail-sensitive than the 4k videos provided by Inspire 1. Additionally, x5s films in a variety of formats, including RAW and Apple Prores. Raw mode features unprocessed photos that look more naturally, avoiding file compression that distorts the image and makes it less quality.

5. Self-heating technology

This one will allow you to fly in any weather. If you are fond of winter shootings, Inspire 2 will give you the chance to capture impressive shots of snowy landscapes, without having to think of low temperatures that can inhibit the operation of the drone. The successor of Inspire 1 is equipped with a self-heating technology that keeps the engine and electronic components warm and safe throughout the flight. So even if it's freezing cold outside, just go out and press the launch button to enjoy the best winter aerial views.

What features are preserved in inspire 2 drone quadcopter with x5s camera and gimbal

While coming with some significant upgrades, Inspire 2 has preserved some features from its predecessor. First of all, it is the stabilizing gimbal that keeps the camera level in shaking, headwind and other harsh conditions. Moreover, the aircraft is equipped with an obstacle identification and avoidance system that reduces the likeability of crashing into an oncoming object. It's just a super-fast object that can make the impact impossible to avoid, otherwise the smart mechanism of the drone identifies the obstacle from a distance via the fpv camera and gently dodges it, without destabilizing the aircraft.

To sum up, DJI Inspire 2 comes with some fascinating improvements that make the drone an ideal choice for professional shooting. The aircraft is faster, shoots 5.2k gimbal-stabilized videos, and boasts a dual battery system that extends the flight time to 27 minutes. Moreover, there is a self-heating technology that allows you to fly the drone even in cold weather.
